Greenwich + Docklands International Festival (GDIF) and Spoffin in association with OutdoorArtsUK join forces to present an online pitching session, featuring British, Dutch and other international artists and professionals. GDIF & Spoffin Outdoor Arts Online Pitch will take place on Friday 28th of August.
GDIF & Spoffin Outdoor Arts Online Pitch is a great opportunity to hear about artists' plans for 2021 and beyond, what inspires them, how to embrace current challenges and how they look further into the future. The pitching sessions offer a unique insight behind the scenes of street theater.
Spoffin presents five artists from the Roundabout Europe project, which supports emerging outdoor artists on an artistic and professional level. From Roundabout Europe, Etta Ermini Dance Theater (UK), Gracie & Christian (IE / ES), Holektiv (CZ), Third Hand Group (SI) and TwoMuch (UK) will speak.
GDIF will present pitches by artistic director and choreographer Jeanefer Jean-Charles (Black Victorians). This was also supported by Without Walls' Blueprint program; Joseph Toonga (Born to Protest), commissioned by Stomping Ground; and Kaleider (Arch) a large-scale installation.
Spoffin also offers pitches from Anne-Chris van Doesburg, Blaas of Glory, Joop Oonk, Sky-Motion, Mobil & Casier, Arnhemse Meisjes, Tall Tales Company and Bram Graafland.
How it works
The pitching sessions are moderated by Angus MacKechnie, Executive Director of OutdoorArtsUK, followed by informal networking with the artists in virtual breakout rooms. A downloadable file with all information is available for all projects that are presented. All sessions will be captioned and BSL interpreted.
